Warmonger is a multiplayer strategic war game. The goal, of course, is to make war. Each player starts with a single unit which they place on the map. This unit can be expanded into a massive army by recruiting from cities and splitting into multiple units. Units may also be joined to combine their strength and make movement eaiser.
Players use the web interface to send commands to the game server for each unit.Commands are executed at timed intervals, currently every 10 minutes. The order of execution is random so their is no guarantee as to which player or unit will make their move first. After the server executes commands the maps of players who are logged in will update to show results.
This should eliminate latency advantages of some players, provide time for players to make strategic plans, and will hopefully retain some of the excitement of a real time scenario.
