Well a lot has happened and is happening in Boundless Planet since the gold release and i thought id share some with passing gamers. We now have a New Players world for new players to experiment in and get to know other players. This system is still evolving and atm veterans can join but are expected by all other vets to behave and limit their growth and activity severely. Many go on to play on the current Main Planet and go inactive here - providing ideas and opportunity for newcomers. Future restrictions for entry will make this a more interesting environment for those wishing to get proficient at BP
The active planets now include a Timed planet - which is gaining fans both new and those who have had difficulty playing BP through time constraints. At the moment this is set to 7 hours a week - with regeneration of time etc explained in the forum area. Full time planets are the usual mayhem with factions dominating mostly.
A recent addition has been the DeathMatch servers or ‘Moons’ with limited places, tight map, and three ‘Points of Control’ which must be built upon and held to achieve victory. Currently a free for all with no shields and plentiful bonus irons and very close enemies. To die is to sit the rest of the game out. Soon to be ‘daily held’.

Quick update before Boundless Planet goes Open Source. Client will be released first and there is a Community site to help and advise now - http://www.bpgamers.com
Its a land/sea/air based warfare led game with resource collection and unit creation and of course, WAR. The game is run by one solo developer and is soon going open source. We are trying to build a community at http://www.bpgamers.com to help develop this game further - the potential is great and warfare when busy is intense.
There is a free weeks demo - the community is pushing for either a free server or a 4week demo to allow new players to fully experience the long term strategy elements. Planets last around a month before filling up and new planets are then released. Old ones remain open and active - just no new joins. Invasion is being explored for world v world conflict in the future.
Death match can fill the time while silos refill with iron and oil, the two present resources. Many more are planned. Deathmatch maps are player made - .tga files with colour being interpreted by the server into heights and resources etc. Games are smaller, faster and have no new start shield. The community has ladders and events coming, hopefully with prizes.
